PAKISTAN Railways witnessed a decline and had worst-ever performance during the PPP regime. It was a tremendous challenge to revive it. The services nowadays are better.
Apart f rom the overall improvement, online bookingis agoodfacihty asithas made railway reservation easier for passengers.
However, the system has some flaws.
One f aces multiple errors while paying throughthe creditcard.
When I go for e-ticketing through Pakistan Railways android application, it confirms my booking via the text message along with the total charges, including Omni services, to be paid at a nearest outlet.
A few days ago, I had to pay Rs50 on demand of the Omni outlet staff at Naseem Nagar, Qasimabad, Hyderabad. They termed it their Internet charges. They also claimed that this amount was not justified by Pakistan Railways.
I wonder why these extra charges are being received from passengers at Omni outlets. Railway authorities should inquire about this.
