THE Sharif family thinks it is being dragged into court without any charges.

Their argument has been untenable and laughable.

While returning from an official visit to Tajikistan Nawaz Sharif was talking to journalists on board the flight to Pakistan.

He said he was being punished for nuclear explosions and strengthening the country through development.

Mr Sharif must tell us who is conspiring against him. It is an old ploy by our rulers to hide behind the imaginary conspiracy theories. Nobody is conspiring against him.

Others have other important things to do instead of wasting time on conspiracies.

Without naming the PTI or Imran Khan, he criticised his arch-rival for organising sit-ins, protest rallies and creating `hurdlesand obstacles` in the way of progress and economic development. These claims are unsubstantiated and unreasonable.

People have rejected these claims. He must tell the people the truth and give us sources of his income. Justice must be done. This is no time for launching another Sharif for the primeministership.

Javaid Bashir Lahore (2) MARYAM Nawaz arrived for the JIT questioning in a BMW that was registered as a Toyota Belta in 2012 and with taxes paid till 2012 only.

The amount of tax calculated on the $25 million account is more than the combined taxes paid by the Sharif family in the past 10 years.

Instead of arresting the tax evader and taking the BMW with fake registration into custody and initiating investigation against the officials concerned, the police gave security protocol and salutes to the person in the BMW.

Itis alsoironic that a person being driven in a BMW that was registered as a Toyota to avoid taxes claims on TV that she and her family were being targeted for no reason.

It is also sad that if the daughter of our country`s leader was violating the law and not paying vehicle tax, then how can our leader expect all Pakistanis to pay taxes and follow rules? Shahryar Karachi
