BPSC affairs

2017-06-14
COMPETITIVE examinations by Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) were held for the posts of assistant commissioners and section officers after six years in November 2016. About 7,000 candidates appeared in the examinations.

Finally, the result was announced on May 16 and hardly four per cent could pass the written examinations. The remaining 96pc, when they approached the BPSC to get detailed marks certificates were denied and told to wait until final viva voce. On the other hand, failed candidates can get their mark sheets even before viva voce in CSS examinations conducted by other provincial public service commissions.

As failed candidates have nothing to do with viva voce, keeping them waiting until viva voce is unfair.

The Balochistan chief secretary and BPSC chairman should take notice of this and resolve the issue.
