FAISALABAD: Pakistan Muslim LeagueNawaz MNA Mian Farooq has tendered his resignation from the National Assembly seat in protest against the pany decision of awarding the district council chairman ticket to a `turncoat` by rejecting his son Qasim Farooq.

Mr Farooq told Dawn that his father had mentioned in the letter that he had stahed his political career with the PML-N and was now saying goodbye to it in protest against the pany decision of selecting Zahid Nazir as the candidate for the district council seat. He said he had no information why the pany had ignored the sacrifices of the family and rejected his (Qasim`s) name. Staff Correspondent (See also Page 19)
