KARACHI: The Pakistan Rangers, Sindh and police carried out an intelligence-based action in the Badar Commercial area of Defence and arrested an alleged extortionist.

The paramilitary force spokesperson described the held suspect, Arif Ali, as a `ringleader of Khokhar bhatta group`.

The suspect had recently called a trader in Clifton and demanded Rs2 million protection money and threatened him of dire consequences in case of non-payment.
