Security plan to be devised for schools, colleges in Mansehra

2014-12-18
MANSEHRA: The district administration has summoned a meeting of heads of private and public sector schools and colleges today (Thursday) to evolve a foolproof security plan in view of the terrorist attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar.

`We have called a meeting of the principals and headmasters of the private and government schools, including the only army public school in the district, to evolve a security plan to curb Peshawar like attacks here,` said Tasleem Khan, the additional deputy commissioner, while speaking to mediapersons here on Wednesday.

He said that the meeting would be followed by a comprehensive security plan to be evolved in a meeting of lawenforcement agencies to be held on Friday.

He said that deputy commissioner Amir Khattak would chair both the meetings as the district administration wanted the schools` administration to not only extend their full support in curbing Peshawar-like attacks in the district but also to induct their own security staff.

`We want the schools` administration to let us know whatever happens on the premises of their institutions but also of their security plans,` he said.

Mr Khan said that the administration would also ensure that owners never rented their houses to aliens or people migrated here from other parts of the country. Correspondent
