LAHORE: The higher education department (HED) core team as well as directors and additional directors of colleges have planned to revamp all commerce colleges in the province by setting up a model college each in 36 districts.

The HED team and all directors had held a meeting on Friday and planned to uphft the coHeges in phases. The meeting discussed that under the first phase, the government would set up one model college in every district of the province. It would consist of 10 classrooms, 35 latest computers, an admin block and a transport bus.

The HED secretary issued directions to dispose of promotion cases of officials from BPS-17 to -18 on the basis of new annual confidential reports and academic results of 2017.
