FAISALABAD: Police have registered a case against a man and his two brothers on the charge of throwing acid on his wife and her mother on Wednesday night.

Applicant Razia Bibi said her daughter, Sana Amna, married Zahid Viki of Gojra and she left his home about six months ago. She said Vil(i, along with his two brothers Afzal and Sajjad, came to her house and threw acid on her daughter.

Amna suffered burns on her face, chest and legs and acid drops also fell on her (Razia) left arm and a leg. The woman was shifted to the Allied Hospital where her condition was stated to be stable.Police registered a case against the suspect under section 336-B.

RAPE: The Saddar police have registered a case against an office boy of the Children`s Hospital on the charge of subjecting a nurse to rape and sharing her objectionable videos on social media.

Submitting an application, the complainant said an office boy (naib qasid) who is also a photographer, took her pictures and blackmailed her after editing the images.

The suspect, she said, asked her that he would delete the images if she would meet him in a house outside the hospital.

On Feb 7 last, she said she had gone with him to the house where the suspect raped and tortured her. He also filmed her rape and shared the video on WhatsApp. The applicant said the suspect extorted Rs120,000 from her. Police registered a case under section 376 of PPC with no arrest.
