Dirty work

THE United States over the last few weeks has initiated a sudden charm offensive aimed at restarting high-level dialogue with North Korea. This is clear sign of American frustrations in the war against Iran, and the reluctance on the part of South Korea to be part of the conflict. The US hopes its friendly gestures to North Korea would somehow whip up enough frenzy in South Korea to make the latter join the bloody war.

The timing is surely not a coincidence.

As American policy in Palestine and Iran faces growing resistance even in America, and after the Ukraine failure, Washington is looking to secure its flank in northeast Asia. This is just the white man wanting the brown race to do the dirty work.

The two Koreas will be asked to serve as proxies in a wider confrontation including Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Besides, the possibility of a future conflict with China in the Pacific is never too far from American minds. Washington knows it cannot fight that war alone. The Koreas would hopefully avoid being on the side of a waning empire, an empire built on the bones and blood of brown people.
