KARACHl:The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf condemned the attack on an anti-polio vaccination team here on Tuesday and announced that it would observe a`black day` across Sindh on Wednesday.
PTl parliamentary party leader in the Sindh Assembly Khurram Sher Zaman, MPAs Samar Ali Khan and Seema Zia termed the tragedy a conspiracy to isolate Pakistan in the world.
They demanded that the government make polio vaccination mandatory for every child in the country and the registration of birth certificates, passports, school/ Madressah admissions be linked to the production of vaccination certificates.
The PTl lawmakers, who were speaking at a press conference at the Karachi Press Club on Tuesday, said that the immediate suspension of the anti-polio drive by the government showed its non-serious attitude to the situation.
They demanded that the vaccination teams be given protection by the army and Rangers to create a sense of security among vaccinators.
They said if the government asked them they would accompany the teams for vaccination of children in their respective constituencies.
