PAKISTAN recently has become not only rich and self-sufficient but almost as strong as a superpower. And this has happened due to discovery ofiron ore,copper,silver and even gold worth $50billion.
Loadshedding will not only go forever; Pakistan will start exporting electricity.
The prices of daily consumption will fall by 80pc to 90pc making 70pc poor population rich overnight. Both, the prime minister and the Punjab chief minister were there in Chiniot to personally listen to experts who have discovered it and who will be instrumental in bringing this richness.
There could not have been a better plan to hoodwink people for 15 to 20 years during which rich minerals will be unearthed. There could be no better and bigger lollypop for people to look forward to for 20 odd years.
But like Saindak and Reko Dig, this project will land up in some insurmountable problems and be shelved. By then the PML-N and PPP will have been wiped out from the map of Pakistan anyway. Foreign consultants have been engaged. MCC (a Chinese company) has been hired, which has failed.
And it is a sin in Pakistan to speak against China. Hats off to the genius who coined this drama to keep hungry faces quiet for two decades.
