TOBA TEK SINGH: The Punjab government has approved the construction of a 9.5 kilometre dual carriageway from motorway Samundri interchange to Samundri city.

A notification issued on Thursday by the Punjab Communication and Works Department says the estimated cost of theproject will be Rs1.6 billion and it will be completed in two years, while a bridge will also be built on the Gogera branch canal.

The motorists of Faisalabad, Samundri, Gojra and Jhang faced difficulties approaching the Samundri interchange because the road was broken at different places and was continuously demanded by the people of Samundri to rebuild it.
