SIALKOT: Up to 150 Afghan families living in Sialkot have been repatriated.

Gujranwala Regional Police Officer (RPO) Syed Dilawar Abbas told reporters on Friday.

He said the families had been living illegally in Sialkot for a long time. He said they had also arrested six hardened criminals of Sialkot district in different countries with the help of Interpol in 2014, whilethe arrest of 11 others was in the process.

District Police Officer Dr Shahzad Asif said a special cell had been established to issue character certificates to the people.

CHRISTIANS: The Christian Thinkers` Forum has strongly condemned the publication of blasphemous caricatures in a French magazine.

Forum Chairman Javed Gull, Prof Yousaf Nayyer and John Kennedy called it an international conspiracy against interfaith harmony.
