OKARA: Dipalpur city police have booked a man for allegedly attempting self-immolation on Sunday.

According to police, Ashraf of Khalilabad locality, Dipalpur, doused himself in petrol and set himself ablaze in street. He suffered burns and was shifted to hospital.

Dipalpur city police registered a case against him (FIR No 286/17) under section 325 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). Police said that Ashraf attempted self-immolation over love affair.
