As a standard practice, the railway reservation of fices do not book seats more than 30 days in advance. I was to travel from Karachi to Lahore by Tezgam.
On July 15, I went to Karachi City Station reservation of fice to book one seat for Aug 14 in air-conditioned sleeper. I was the first one to reach the booking of fice. But to my utter surprise I was told that no seat was available.
Then on July 17, once again I was the first one to reach the booking office when the door opened for reservation for Aug 16. Again I was informed that the seats were not available.
On my insistence, the counter clerk pulled out a seat from Hyderabad onwards to Lahore. But according to him, Karachi to Lahore seats were not available.
The railway authorities should look into the matter and take necessary action.
