KARACHI: A man was found shot dead in the Korangi Industrial Area on Sunday, police said.

They added that the partially decomposed body of the man was found in the bushes on the Malir riverbed near the Baloch Bund causeway.

The corpse was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medcical Centre to fulfil legal formalities.

Area SHO Aurangzeb Khattak said that the dead had received a single gunshot in the head. The body was five to six days old.

With the help of fingerprints, the victim was identified as Naseem, 55, originally hailing from Dera IsmailKhan.

The officer said that the police were trying to locate his relatives.
