Three `hitmen` among seven suspects held by Rangers

KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, on Sunday claimed to have arrested seven suspects, including three alleged hitmen, in different parts of the city.
The paramilitary force conducted actions in the Saeedabad andShershahareasanddetained three suspects Mohammed Ali, alias Popat; Azeem Khan and Mohammed Ayub. The held suspects were involved in targeted killings, robberies and drugs sale, said a Rangers spokesperson. Of the three heldsuspects, Popat was affiliated with Lyari gang warfare elements.
Separately, Rangers personnel detained a suspect, Taung Ahmed Khan, in the Garden area.
The held suspect was linked with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London, who was involved in sale and purchase of illegal weapons.
Furthermore, Rangers detained three suspects Ali Hasan Khan, Syed Noman Ali and Jamal Shah in Shah Faisal Colony,Awami Colony and Jamshed Quarters, respectively, for their being involved in dacoities.
