Rain forecast for Lahore today

LAHORE: Scattered rain turned the weather pleasant in the Punjab capital on Thursday.

The Met office forecast rain in Lahore during the next 24 hours (Friday).

It recorded maximum temperatures at 21 degrees Celsius and the minimum 6 in Lahore and forecast more rain at isolated places in Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Sahiwal and Rawalpindi divisions, Islamabad, Bannu, Dera Ismael Khan, Quetta, Kalat, Zhob and Sibbi divisions with snowfall over the hills during the next 24 hours.

Affecting western and upper parts of the country and likely to persist till Saturday, a fresh western disturbance might cause widespread rain in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan divisions of upper KP, Fata, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, it said.

There would be moderate and at times heavy snowfall in Chitral, Kalam, Malamjabba, Dir, Swat, Kaghan, Naran, Shangla, Murree, Gillyat, Neelum valley, Skardu, Bagh, Haveli, Astore, Ghizer and Ghanche till Saturday, said the Met office while warning of the risk of land-sliding in vulnerable areas of Malakand, Hazara divisions and Kashmir owing to widespread rain.
