THIS is apropos of the news item regarding a PIA officer being held for not delaying the flight for an IG (Jan 19). On behalf of the citizens of Karachi, our full sympathies are with Irshad Ali Rind, deputy shift manager, PIA, who went by the rules (though it was beyond him to delay the flight in any case) and faced the wrath of the minions of the police for not following the sycophancy culture.
I would like to request the IG Police, Sindh, to take serious notice of the unruly behaviour of his police force, take the culprits to task and have the action taken publicised as soon as possible.
