SENAT E Chairman Raza Rabbani is a man who speaks his mind. I liked what he had to say to our youth at Bahria University where he was the chief guest at a function recently.

He declared that for accountability to succeed there should be one law for all --generals, judges and politicians, and stated that NAB in its present form was part of the problem and not the solution.

Mr Rabbani also said that he was all for intellectual and academic freedom at universities to foster and promote progressive thought.

He added that the promotion of coffee house culture, where intellectual discussions take place, is also very important for creating a progressive counter-narrative.

We need leaders like Mr Raza Rabbani to be role models for our youth.
