LAHORE: The PPP Human Rights Wing held a reference to pay a tribute to slain rights activist Sabeen Mahmud here on Wednesday.

PPP`s Khalid Butt, Naseer Ahmed, Ayub Naqvi and Yasmin Farooq lauded Sabeen for providing a platform to raise voice against intolerant culture in society.

They said undemocratic forces had removed her from the scene for raising awareness in society, however, the people would carry her mission forward and would not be intimidated by the elements behind her murder. They also demanded the government bring to justice those involved in her killing. Staff Reporter
