Lady Reading Hospital

2015-10-30
I RECENTLY took my mother to Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar, in emergency.

I thought I would see a positive change in the treatment of patients, but was astonished when I saw a pathetic situation there.

First, the police personnel did not allow me to park my vehicle inside the compound, saying that they were not responsible for any loss.

Second, wheelchairs were locked up and the steward concerned was not on the spot.

Third, at midnight, women nurses were nowhere to be seen for the ECG of women patients.

This was a bad experience.

I request the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to pay attention to such problems in government-run hospitals for every individual cannot afford private healthcare.
