POLIO is known as a difficult disease, owing to which a number of children have died in the country. Last year, about 54 children were diagnosed here, 12 of them in Sindh, including seven in Karachi alone. Furthermore, it seems that in Karachi, the death rate of children as a result of this illness is the highest.
The Sindh government is working hard to eradicate polio in the city. It is hoped that during the anti-polio campaign, about 22 million children will be administered drops by 6,230 teams.
