BAHAWALPUR: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) claim to have arrested three terrorists of a banned militant Islamic state group and recovered hand-grenades, explosives and hate literature from their possession.
A CTD spokesman said a picket was set up on Multan Road after they received information that three terrorists of the banned outfit were on their way to Bahawalpur from Multan to carry out some terrorist activity.
The CTD team intercepted a suspected vehicle and recovered hand-grenades, detonators, explosives, hate literature and the emblem of the Islamic state militant after a search.
The CTD team arrested the three terrorists who were identified as Ehsan Yousaf, Waqas Abid and Moazzam Ali. A case has been registered against the three terrorists.
RESULTS: The Punjab examination commission announced the results of 5th and 8th classes examinations in the Bahawalpur district here on Friday.
Education depanment`s focal person Raja Mazhar Hussain said out of total 38,761 candidates of 5th class, 33,127 were declared successful showing a pass percentage of 85.40.
He said as many as 39,638 candidates appeared in 8th class examination and 24,738 of them were declared successful showing a pass percentage of 83.47.
