Three cricketers disallowed to play in HK

LA HOR E: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) refused to issue No Objection Certificates (NOC) to three cricketers to participate in a Twenty20 League set to be held in Hong Kong from Feb 6 to 11.

Pakistan internationals Shadab Khan, Hasan Ali and Faheem Ashraf sought permission from the board for the Hong Kong event but the PCB rejected their request with the Pakistan Super League`s (PSL) third edition kicking off next month and also to keep the youngsters, who are emerging as important members of the Pakistan squad, away from too much cricket.

However, some other players who, on the other side, are not regulars in the national side, namely Kamran Akmal, Muhammad Irfan, Hussain Talat, Sohail Tanvir, Wahab Riaz have been allowed to feature in the event.

Other prominent cricketers of the world namely Kumar Sangakara, Sameul Badree, and Ravi Bopara are also going to take part in the league.-Sports Reporter
