KARACHI: KM Cricketers, a club side from Karachi, began their 12-day tour of Kenya with bacl(-toback victories in their opening two fixtures in Mombasa.
The touring side defeated MCCA by eight wickets in a one-day match at the Mombasa Sports Club Ground, according to the details made available here.
Batting first, MCCA made 155-9 in 30 overs with Sagar making 40.
Mohammad Zohaib claimed 5-26 in his six-over stint.
KM Cricketers then raced to 157-2in 10.5 overs with man-of-the-match Mohammad Zawan blasting a quickfire 77 and Waqas Ansari 59.
Earlier, KM Cricketers began their tour with a seven-wicket success in a T20 game against the same side.
After restricting MCCA to 117-8 in 20 overs with Zohaib bagging four wickets for 22 runs, KM Cricketers rode Zawan`s unbeaten 71 (nine fours and one six) to reach their target in 9.4 overs. Waqas contributed 30.
The visitors are due to play two more one-day and T20 matches.-Sports Reporter
