CTD kills three TTP men

GUJRAT: The counter-terrorism department (CTD) police claimed on Monday to have killed three suspected terrorists belonging to the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (T TP) and foiled a planned terrorist attack against some officials of the law-enforcement agencies along Jalalpur Jattan-Kharian Road on Monday.

The intelligence-based operation was launched in Tibbi Bhosa village of Daulatnagar police precincts where presence of six terrorists was reported upon which the CTD team besieged the area.

Three outlaws of Red Book belonging to Al-Qaeda and T TP were killed in the shootout who were later identified as Tayab Jamil alias Baba, Bilal alias Abdul Raheem and Nadir alias Abdullah whereas three unidentified suspects managed their escape.

CTD police have recovered a Kalashnikov, a rocket, a pistol, explosives, cash and maps of sensitive places from the scene. Further investigation is under way.

The deceased were involved in suicide attacks on LEAs.
