Three-year-old girl goes missing in Anarkali

LAHORE: Old Anarkali police registered a case on Monday after a three-year-old girl went missing in the Anarkali Bazaar on Sunday night.

Police said Jannat Hayat, daughter of Ameer Ali Shah, was accompanying her mother for shopping in the bazaar when she went missing. The family searched for the girl on its own but could not find her. On Sunday, Jannat`s father, Ameer Ali Shah, approached Old Anarkali police and lodged a case.

Meanwhile, three children were reunited with their families, including the two who had gone missing on Sunday.

Two of these children went missing on Sunday. Four-year-old Noor Fatima of Abdullah Street Islamia Park went to a shop near her home but did not come back to her house. Samanabad police recovered the girl from their area and united her with her family.

Defense-A police recovered seven-year-old Haider of Gulberg, who was accompanying his parents in DHA Y-Block where he went missing. Patrol police found the boy in DHA and handed him over to his family.

A 10-year-old girl, who was kidnapped from the Mughalpura area two months ago, was recovered from Shikarpur Sindh.

Police stated the disabled Shahida was kidnapped by the criminals. They took her to Shikarpur and engaged her in begging. It was also revealed that the girl`s father was also involved in begging.

According to police statistics, during the last six months, more than 312 children from Lahore were kidnapped while 652 children from across of Punjab went missing. Lahore leads the list for the reported child kidnapping cases.
