I CANNOT agree more with those who say that the Kalabagh Dam (KBD) should be revived and not `politicised`.
I cannot find words enough to reiterate that constructing the KBD at the earliest is the only remedy for us to go independent of the threats that Modi is posing almost on a daily basis.
The Kalabagh Dam was conceived and proposed by my (late) father H. J. Asar, the then EXEN of the Kalabagh Barrage, as early as 1949.
Let us have national interests above petty matters and set aside provincial dif ferences.
A. H. Mirza Lahore (2) T HE Kalabagh dam is considered by many as an ideal dam and millions of rupees have been spent on preparing its feasibility inthepastseveraldecades.
In the meantime scores of small dams have been built and commissioned by India and China.
In my opinion, the idea of constructing big dams only brings big problems.
