RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday visited mountaineer Abdul Jabbar Bhatti, the retired colonel who recently became the fourth Pakistani to summit the world`s highest peal( Mount Everest, at the Combined Military Hospital.

The COAS congratulated him for his achievement, despite running short of oxygen at the height of 8,500 metres during the summit.

Before arriving in Islamabad, Mr Bhatti underwent one-week treatment at a hospital in Kathmandu.

Gen Bajwa lauded Mr Bhatti`s contribution in keeping the green flag high, and wished him speedy recovery and health.-APP
