LARKANA: Police arrested four suspected members of a rapists` gang in separate actions in Naudero and Larkana city and registered cases against them on Friday.

SHO of Naudero police station Abdul Ghafoor Chutto told journalists that police arrested two suspects on an FIR lodged by a resident of Gharibabad locality. The FIR was registered under Sections 377 and 511 of PPC.

The complainant said that his son, a student of class nine, went missing a day before. When he did not return to the house they went to 100l( for him.

`When we were passing guava orchards we heard cries of someone and rushed to help only to find [the suspects] aiming pistols at [my son] and attempting to rape him, he said, adding the suspects escaped after seeing them.

The SHO said that both the suspects had been arrested and informed journalists that a gang of rapists was active in the area, who mostly targeted young schoolgoing children.

He said one accused had earlier been jailed for raping a young boy in 2015 and its case had been registered at Naudero police station.

In another action, police arrested two suspects for allegedly attempting to rape a 13-year-old boy, after a case was registered against them at Waleed police station under Sections 377 and 511 PPC on Friday.
