Haji Abdul Majeed Nizamani of the Sindh Abadgar Board said that no sane person could take or accept such the decision, arguing that revenue records of lands in Badin district was kept in Hyderabad.

Pakistan Fisherfolk Forum chair-man Syed Mohammad Ali Shah said that the creation of the sixth division comprising nine coastal tehsils within Thatta, Sujawal and Badin districts was a big conspiracy against the fishing community. He said the community would stand up to foil the conspiracy hatched by those elements who were bent upon usurping the rights of the downtrodden.

Taj Mohammad Mallah, representing Badin traders, said that the district had remained a part of Hyderabad division and nobody would be allowed to separate it.

He argued that the people of Badin had great stakes in Hyderabad, which was the economic hub of central Sindh.
