FAISALABAD: Teachers of Divisional Public School and College staged a protest on Monday outside the main gate of the institution demanding revision of their pay scales.

Carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans regarding their demands, the protesters demanded Commissioner Momin Ali Agha, who is also head of the board ofgovernors of the institute,tolook into the issue as they had been struggling for the same since 2015.

Talking to reporters, the teachers said they had been agitating for a couple of days in this severe weather, but nobody from the administration had bothered to contact and have dialogue with them.

They said it was tantamount to financially exploiting teachers by depriving them of their legitimate rights and only the commissioner could solve this issue.

After registering their protest, the teachers returned to the institute peacefully.
