LANDI KOTAL, Dec 6: The Landi Kotal political administration has donated Rs1 million to the local degree college to pay for the tuition fee of students accommodated in the second shift.

Assistant political agent Tayyab Abdullah gave the amount to the college principal here the other day. On the occasion, Mr Abdullah said students who had passed their metric examination with good marks were accommodated in the second shift classes and the local administration felt it as its responsibility to pay for their tuition fee.

He said Rs900,000 would be spent on education while the remaining Rs100,000 was allocated for sporting activities.

Meanwhile, MNA from Khyber Agency Haji Shahji Gul distributed scholarships among 427 deserving male and female students of Jamrud tehsil. Correspondent
