20 Parkinson`s patients treated at LGH in one year

LAHORE: The Postgraduate Medical Institute Principal Prof Khalid Mahmood says the first-ever public sector facility established at the Lahore General Hospital to treat Parkinson`s disease has successfully treated 20 patients during its one year period.
Talking to the media men on the completion of the first year of the facility on Monday, Prof Mahmood said all the patients were provided treatment by adopting Deep Brain Stimulation (BDS) method.
Assistant Professor of Neurology Dr Shahid Mukhtar and other senior doctors were also present.
`After successfully functioning of the center even the foreign patients have started contacting for treatment at the hospital,` the PGMI principal said.
