WE, the people of Islamabad, are members of the salariat, retired bureaucrats and some business people. We are a civilised and peacefullot.Thatis why Imran Khan got popular here as sit-ins were a place where even women felt comfortable to be part of a large crowd without fear of any harassment. We pay taxes and abide by laws.
Here is what we get by being good: blocked roads, traffic jams, lack of mobile service, closed schools and business following constant threats.
We have the following questions for you: Why have you allowed Islamabad to be taken hostage by a few hundred maulvis? What is the impossible demand that cannot be met? Is it not your responsibility to ensure that people live in peace and carry on their day-to-day life? Moreover, the worst is the foul language these maulvis use when asked by a mediaperson about their demands. All what one hears is that this is a staged drama and behind this are other motives.
End this torture that you have forced upon us. It really doesn`t matter to the majority as to who rules the country.
Everyone will be grateful for getting back the roads and phone service and children going to school and a normal life.
It is of no concern as to who is on the top slot. We don`t get any comfort from the government whosever in the government is. We buy our water and our electricity; we pay astonishing high fees to schools where we send our children. We don`t raise any voice whether tomatoes sell for Rs200 a kg or less or more. We know we are no voice in this corrupt system.
Just let us be alone to live our life, and play your game elsewhere.
