KE: electricity theft

2017-11-15
I R ECENTLY noticed six meters fixed on the walls of several houses in my neighbourhood with red lights blinking just like normal meters do. However, this is despite the fact that power connections have been taken illegally directly from the main power source outside.

What a wonder the KE men have performed! No one can catch this tampering unless he examines carefully the source of power from where these houses are getting electricity.

Do consumers like me pay surcharge in their KE bills for the line losses or power theft owing to its negligence.

Normally, KE field staff are very diligent in case consumers are at fault. But in this case, the KE staff visit these houses only when most of the residents are out for their jobs or education.

They mysteriously disappear within the next few minutes after having a deal with the families getting illegal power supply.

As a KE consumer suffering owing tothis power theft in connivance with the field staff, I urge the KE high-ups to take immediate and strict action against the culprits involved.
