CULTURAL relations between Portugal and Pakistan have grown steadily in recent years.
Distinguished Portuguese figures, including author José Luís Peixoto, journalist Teresa Nicolau and guitarist Pedro Joia have engaged Pakistani audiences through the Lahore Literary Festival (LLF).
These exchanges have strengthened appreciation of Portuguese literature, music, history, and culture in Pakistan, while fostering greater mutual understanding and friendship between our peoples. The LLF remainscommitted to promoting such meaningful cultural engagement and dialogue further evidenced by a talk at LLF this year on Portuguese maritime history.
On this occasion, I extend my sincere felicitations to the Government and people of Portugal, and to His Excellency Paulo Domingues, on Portugal’s National Day.
