Rally held against `Afghans involved in murders`

HYDERABAD: Political and civil society activists and heirs of Bilal Kaka, who was murdered on July 12 in Qasimabad, staged a protest march here on Saturday to seek justice for the bereaved family.
The rally was staged under the aegis of a group calling itself the `Bilal Kaka Jaddojehad Committee`. After marching on different roads and streets in the city, the rally participants converged on the local press club, which they held a sit-in.
Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz representativeDr Niaz Kalani, Punhal Sario, Zulfikar Halepoto, Majeed Siyal, Ayaz Memon, Gulsher Kaka, Rehmatulalh Saand, Ghualm Nabi Kaka, Aziz Ahmed Kaka, Sarang Kaka and others spoke to them.
The rally participants raised slogans of `Go Afghans go`, alluding to reports that he was killed by people of Afghanistan origin. They said that if killers were not arrested, they would widen the scope of their protest and block main roads and highways.
They alleged that Murtaza Behan, a collaborator of prime suspect Bakhtiar Pathan in the murder case, was not arrested as yet. They said that MurtazaBehan was using his influence and police were not arresting him.
They added that Sindh government was regularising settlements of Afghans while Sindhi youths like Naveed Kaka and Bilal Kaka were murdered. They said that Afghan immigrants should be repatriated to their home country and those living here should not have the right to hold property. They alleged that some police officers were also supporting Afghan immigrants.
They lamented that Sindhis were being killed and no action was taken by police.
