VEHARI: A woman was strangled allegedly by her husband at village Daulatabad, some 25km from here, on Friday.

Naseem Bibi, 35, had contracted love marriage with her relative, Liaqat Ali, 40, a few years back.

One month back, she developed some differences with her husband over some domestic problems and she went to live with her parents.

However, on the intervention of family elders, Naseem returned home with Liaqat on Thursday.

Late at night when she was sleeping, Liaqat strangledher and fled.

Luddan police registerd a case against Liaqat on application of Naseem`s brother.

Her body was handed over to the family after autopsy at the District Headquarters Hospital.

BODY: A four-year-old girl`s body was recovered from Jallah Jeem Canal.

Two sisters, identified as Pathani, 16, and Mehreen, 4, had drowned in the canal on Thursday. Pathani`s body was recovered the same evening; however Mehreen`s body was recovered on Friday morning.
