MIRPURKHAS: A boy was killed and his young cousin accompanying him was critically injured when they were hit by a speeding car at a section of the Tando Jan Mohammad road near Digri town on Sunday.

The boy, Hafiz Hannan, son of Mohammd Irfan Abrang, died on the spot and the girl, Hazifa, daughter of Mohammad Imran, suffered critical injuries in the accident.

They were rushed to the Digri Taluka Hospital, where doctors pronounced the boy dead on arrival, the area police said, adding that the girl was provided emergency medical treatment and then referred to the Hyderabad Civil Hospital due to her serious condition.
