LAHORE, July 18: Governor Sardar Latif Khosa has said the PPP will ensure transparency in next general elections.

Addressing a peace conference organised by an NGO here on Wednesday, he said the PPP had put in place an independent election commission and now it would take measures to hold free and fair polls.

The governor said the PPP would complete its term and added that his party always appreciated positive criticism.

He said there was a need to resolve all issues through consultation.

He said the PPP promoted politics of reconciliation instead of victimising its opponents after coming into power in the 2008 elections. `All political forces should come forward and work together for people`s betterment,` he said.
