TOBA TEK SINGH: Two wedding guests were injured critically in celebratory firing at Chak 418-GB in Tandlianwala, Faisalabad.

The Mehndi function of the marriage of Constable Husnain Zulfiqar was going on when his friends opened aerial firing. As a result, two relatives of the groom, identified as Ghulam Mujtaba and Muhammad Naveed, were seriously wounded.

Both of them were shifted to THQ Hospital Tandlianwala. A police spokesperson said the suspects had been arrested.

DROWNING: A boy was feared drowned while catching fish in river Chenab near Machiwala in tehsil Ahmadpur Sial of district Jhang.

Mudassar Sajid, 14, was throwing a net in the river when he fell into deep water and drowned.

The Rescue 1122 divers were searching for his body when this report was filed.

MURDER: A youth was murdered over a minor dispute at Peer KotSadhana locality of Jhang.

Saqib Sadhana tried to convince the suspects to return a dog of a man which they had caught.

The suspects got angry and opened fire on him. As a result, he died instantly.

After the murder, the suspects and their families left their houses and disappeared along with their cattle.

RAPE: A man raped a child at Chak 429-GB, Gojra.

Sajjad Ahmad, the uncle of 12-year-old victim, alleged in the FIR registered with the Gojra Saddar police that his nephew was playing outside his house.

A suspect lured the boy to his house in connivance with another man and raped him. Gojra Sadar police arrested the suspect and his accomplices.

FIRE: A shop was gutted after a fire broke out in it on the Quaid-i-Azam Road in Gojra.

FireHghters extinguished the fire, which was caused by a short circuit. Store owner Amjad Ali said items worth more than Rs3m were burnt.
