GUJRAT: At least 33 potential beggars have been offloaded from the flights to Middle Eastern countries at Sialkot International Airport by the immigration authorities of Federal Investigation Agency last week.
Director FIA Gujranwala Zone Abdul Qadir Qamar told Dawn that total 57 passengers had been offloaded from the Sialkot airport last week but out of them 33 were the potential beg-gars who had been going to Saudi Arabia, Gulf states, Iran and Iraq disguising themselves as religious tourists.
He said at least 60 cases of illegal human trafficking were lodged in a week between Oct 11 and 18 in the whole region and 44 suspects were arrested including 11 most wanted fugitives whereas challans of 31 cases were sent to the court.
He said two fake Pakistani passports and three fake visas of South Africa were recovered from different passengers.
