BAHAWALPUR: A police constable was discharged from the Bahawal Victoria Hospital (BVH) on Thursday after treatment of `swine flu` The BV H me dical superintendent said constable Muhammad Yaqoob was admitted to the hospital with symptoms of swine flu and was discharged after his recovery.

Another patient, Naheed ShaHg, who wasadmitted to the hospital before Yaqoob, is still under treatment, he said.

BVH Chief Executive Officer Dr Haroon Khursheed Pasha said the medical and paramedical staff was being trained to treat swine flu patients with due measure of care.

`They are administered vaccine and capsules before they perform their duties,` he added.

He said 30 consultants, nurses and paramedical staff members had been trained.
