PAT`s 10 suggestions for eliminating terrorism

LAHORE: The Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) has put forward 10 suggestions to the government for the elimination of terrorism from the country.

The suggestions, given in a meeting of the party`s consultative council here on Thursday, included implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) and decisions of military courts and expansion of Zarb-i-Azb to the whole country for nabbingfacilitators of terrorists.

It said the provinces must form special forces for the security of educational institutions and allocate funds accordingly, erect a barbed wire along the borders with India and Afghanistan while the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) should be bought under the control of the army and activated within 24 hours.

The PAT also said that provincial apex committees` activities and work on the NA P should be made public, and inflow of foreign funds and registration of madrassas should be ensured.

Meanwhile, the Mustafvi Students Movement will hold a walk to show solidarity with the martyrs of the Bacha Khan University today. The walk will start from the Lahore Press Club and conclude at the Charing Cross. Staff Reporter
