Hospitals: traffic jams

2016-05-24
ACCORDING to law, the private hospitals and clinics are not allowed to be built within three to five-kilometre radius of a civil hospital.

But Quetta city has a cluster of hospitals and clinics in such an area. It is not only illegal but also causes traffic jams.

Owing to traffic jams, schoolchildren, whose schools close at 1.30pm reach their homes at about 3.00pm.

The situation in the evening is not better when the business of these clinics increases.

Lack of traffic signals in the city worsens the situation with everyone following one`s own rules. The government should take notice of this situation.
