RAHIM YAR KHAN: PTI MNA MNA Javed Warraich and MPA Asif Majeed held a meeting with district administration and municipal committee officials on Tuesday to discuss sanitation and sewerage issues.

Both the parliamentarians met Deputy Commissioner Jamil Ahmed Jamil, Municipal Committee (MC) administrator Dr Jahanzeb Hussain Labar and Assistant Commissioner Aitzaz Anjum and discussed the increasing problems of cleanliness in the central parts of the city, including Sadiq Bazaar, Jamia Qadria Bazaar, Railway Road, Shahi Road and Jinnah Bazaar.

Mr Warraich told the officers that many citizens and traders had complained to him about the worst condition of choked sewers and streets littered with solid waste when he was in Islamabad for the National Assembly session. He criticised the role of MC employees to perform their duties for sanitation. He also showed his concern that administrative officers were not fixing the problems on the public complaints.

The district administration officers told the legislators that the city would be divided into two portions for cleanliness and the sewage would be removed from all main bazaars. Correspondent
