HUNDR EDS of houses in Gulistan-i-Jauhar block 12 are facing an acute water shortage for the last three months. The water supply in some localities has been disconnected owing to non-payment of dues. This action has resulted in suspension of supply to even those consumers who pay their bills every month and were penalised for no fault whatsoever.
The residents of block 12 are left with no alternative except to purchase water from the tanker mafia which makes a big dent in the monthly budget of this middle-class neighbourhood.
The authorities are requested to look into the matter and resolve it immediately.
