THE Combined Competitive Examinations 2013 (CCE-2013) were conducted by the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) for recruitment to various government departments.

The results of the written part of the examinations were announced on March 16.

Finally, the results of the interview were also declared recently.

However, the final results have proved frustrating to the unemployed candidates because almost all candidates selected by SPSC are already serving under grade-17.

Thus of ficers` posts are changed but no one unemployed is recruited. We find no fruitful results for such a long-processed examination.

Many genuine students who pass the examinations do not join offices because they are already employed with a handsome salary. As a result, many seats remain vacant.

It is time the government pondered thematter. A waiting list for candidates should be introduced similar to what the FPSC has done so that the candidates who have passed the written tests can join such jobs.
